Oracle NetSuite to continue expanding in PH
American knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) firm Oracle NetSuite said it will continue to expand its operations in the Philippines despite uncertainty in the country’s outsourcing industry. The uncertainty has been brought about by the pending passage of the second tranche of the government’s comprehensive tax reform program. Oracle NetSuite’s executive vice president, Evan Goldberg, said the firm’s Philippine operation has been the life of Oracle Netsuite over the years and has been a significant part of the company’s growth. Oracle NetSuite, a provider of cloud-based solutions, employs approximately 1,300 people in the Philippines. Goldberg added that the company is “absolutely expanding” in the country. In fact, he has already signed the approval of all investments and programs for expansion in the Philippines. The company’s commitment to grow in the country comes as other BPO firms have expressed concerns that the proposed tax law could affect their operations.
