Qualfon named BPO Investor of the Year
Caribbean Export recognized Qualfon, a business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, as BPO Investor of the Year at the recent Outsource to the Caribbean Conference 2019. The award recognizes organizations that have made contributions to promote expansion and investment in the Caribbean regions. Qualfon was honored for its continued investment in and long-term commitment to the South American country of Guyana. The country’s native English-speaking population and competitively priced services are considered very important to the global outsourcing industry. The firm has been a BPO provider in Guyana since 2005 and is the country’s largest private employer. Margaret Rose, regional director of Site Selection Magazine and expert panel judge, said Qualfon has been a major contributor to growth, job creation, and stability in Guyana. Christine Morris, group president of Qualfon, said the company will continue its growth in the country. Caribbean Export, the only regional trade and investment promotion agency in the African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) group, focuses on improving the competitiveness and value of Caribbean brands.
