The concept entails establishing a foreign subsidiary of your firm and hiring a local specialist to handle facilities, recruitment, IT, HR, and labor regulations. Philip Kooijman, a Dutch business strategist and information technology professional, established the firm in 2006. Philip had substantial, hands-on experience with offshoring even back then, having started and headed a company that ran a distribution center in the Philippines. 

He founded the company to bring offshore to the rest of the world. MicroSourcing grew from 14 people in its first year to 38 in 2007. The firm continued to expand rapidly, and by 2013, it had approximately 2,000 workers, a social responsibility fund, an efficient recruitment referral engine, and a training institute. The company also created two additional distribution locations in the Philippines and a Sydney, Australia-based office.
