Overview

Game Ops Inc. “GameOps Inc was established in 2010 by the who’s who of Philippines Video Game Publishing Industry to be the service provider to the video game industry. They claim that their work speaks for itself and it’s this attitude that has helped them to grow so much in such little time. Over the years they have grown to be the largest and only support provider to the video game industry. Their passion for their work and the desire to contribute to the industry has spilled out of their organization and extended to the Philippine government and the local private sector.

Games Ops provides customer care support to their clients so that they are able to build relationship with their customers; game moderators who inspect performance and enforce policies and enhance community management and customer support initiative; strategies to manage communities in a way that leads to good revenue earnings; quality assurance and technical documentation.

It can therefore be seen why the CEO of GameOps Inc, Andro Baluyut was chosen to serve as the government’s Sector Industry Champion for the Philippine Video Game Industry, to collaborate with government agencies and other peers to promote and advance the industry. It was their effort that led to GameDev Phillipines, a project by the government to push the video game industry globally.

About Game Ops: Review and comparison

GameOps is a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider for the video game industry headquartered in Metro Milan, Philippines. The company has been providing quality assurance and innovative live operations support to the global market since 2010.

This BPO arose from humble beginnings by creating processes focused on assimilation and client convenience. GameOps commandeers its documentation, performance analysis, and organization to “contribute to the greatest extent possible.”

The BPO’s current size is 200 to 500 employees, and its last reported revenue is $5.2 million.

Game Ops Outsourcing

The company began and continues to expand in the heart of Metro Manila, the Philippines’ industrial district, where it specializes in live operations and quality assurance.

GameOps also maintains communicative channels through email, web tickets, and live chat support during the quality assurance process.

In addition, GameOps helped engineer the 2013 “GameDev Philippines” initiative, which expanded access to the country as a resource for local and foreign game developers.

The initiative made it possible for French publisher Ubisoft to open its first office in the Philippines in 2016 and has allowed new partnerships to arise in the country’s video game industry. GameOps has seen a growth of $1.6 million in revenue over the past year.

How Game Ops outshines its competition

The BPO takes pride in the quality and organization of its services, as well as assimilating as much work as possible so that clients “have more time to do higher-value work.”

 As noted on their official website, the formula for providing these services includes:

  • Delivering a live operations experience that is more thorough, effective, and long-lasting than standard quality testing;
  • Creating and maintaining original data mining, reports, and documentation for the entire management of knowledge databases;
  • Optimizing workflow, structure, and processes as necessary;
  • Conducting high-quality training remotely through original programs and materials;
  • Providing reliable community management, customer support, and game moderation solutions through in-game task monitoring support, social media, online forums, and electronic mail.
