Key responsibilities

Financial recordkeeping

Accounts receivable

Financial reporting

  • Regularly prepare financial statements (e.g., balance sheet, income statement)
  • Generate financial reports for management and external stakeholders as needed

Expense tracking

  • Categorize and track business expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of expense reports for employees, if applicable

Audit support

  • Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing and organizing financial documents and records.
  • Address audit inquiries and implement audit recommendations as necessary.

Process improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes
  • Suggest and implement accounting system enhancements or upgrades as needed

Qualifications and skills

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
