Outsource Accelerator OA500 2025: Teleperformance Beats Accenture to #1
MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Outsource Accelerator (OA), the world’s leading outsourcing marketplace and advisory, today published the third edition of the Global Outsourcing Firm (BPO) Index and the OA500 2025, the first and only objective analysis of the world’s top 500 outsourcing firms.
This year’s rankings highlight seismic shifts in the sector, with Teleperformance claiming the #1 spot and ending Accenture’s two-year reign at the top.
Industry Leaders and New Subrankings
The Top 10 Outsourcing Firms
Rising Stars: Emerging Industry Challengers
This new category — picked from the OA500 firms — highlights emerging firms demonstrating exceptional potential and innovative approaches within the outsourcing ecosystem. These “Rising Stars” are positioned to disrupt traditional outsourcing models and represent the future direction of the industry.
Fast-Growing BPOs: Rapid Expansion Leaders
The “Fast-Growing BPOs” subrankings — selected from those beyond the Top 500 or non-OA500 firms — showcase outsourcing providers with extraordinary growth trajectories, identifying firms that have significantly outpaced industry averages in revenue expansion, workforce development, and market penetration over the past year.
“The changes we’ve observed this year underscore the resilience and dynamism of the outsourcing sector, especially in the era of AI,” says Derek Gallimore, CEO of Outsource Accelerator.
The OA500 methodology uses an objective scoring and weighting system to rank firms based on footprint and quality. The scope of analysis of OA500 2025 has broadened to 3,018 — a 6% increase in the total number of firms cataloged — growing from 2,847 firms in 2024.
Double-Digit Revenue Growth Continues
The global outsourcing industry continues to grow, with OA500 firms collectively tracking a $660 billion revenue, an increase of 11.6% from 2024 and 25% from 2023.
The ongoing consolidation of market power saw the 77 largest firms (10,000+ staff) now account for 75.6% of total industry revenue, collectively generating $531 billion.
This sustained growth is indicative of the sector’s importance in global business strategies, as firms leverage outsourcing for cost optimization and access to specialized skills.
Geographical Areas and Key Sectors
The geographic distribution of the OA500 firms’ headquarters highlights the critical roles of these countries in IT services, customer support, and business process solutions. Leading the pack is the United States with 273 OA500 firms, followed by India (58), the United Kingdom (30), and the Philippines (21).
Meantime, sector performance diverged sharply:
- Real estate outsourcing revenue surged 1,039% to $880 million, fueled by virtual property management.
- Financial services BPOs saw 5,718% web traffic growth amid fintech adoption.
- Retail BPOs saw a 2,259% traffic surge, reflecting e-commerce logistics needs.
- Web traffic of healthcare/HR outsourcing companies was not measurable, signaling existential challenges for traditional models.
Shift to Hybrid Work Models
The number of physical office locations for the OA500 firms continues to decline, dropping to 10,919 in 2025 — from 11,493 in 2024 and 12,870 in 2023. This trend suggests an ongoing shift toward hybrid work models and the increased use of AI-driven remote operations.
“As we witness a broadened analysis scope and see firms like Teleperformance rise to the top, it’s clear that the outsourcing industry is not just adapting but actively shaping the future of global business practices. These shifts are pivotal as we continue to harness technology and innovation to drive growth and efficiency,” Gallimore said.
